Rusty Corten merujuk kepada Batang korten (keluli luluhawa) that has naturally developed its characteristic reddish-brown surface layer. Tidak seperti keluli biasa, the rust on Corten steel is protective rather than destructive, making it ideal for outdoor architectural and landscaping applications.

1. How Corten Steel Forms Its Rust Layer

Keluli corten mengandungi unsur pengaloian seperti:

• Tembaga (Cu)

• Chromium (Cr)

• nikel (Dalam)

• Fosforus (P)

Elemen-elemen ini bekerjasama untuk mencipta a padat, lapisan oksida terikat rapat when exposed to moisture and air.

Proses:

1. Pengoksidaan Awal:

   • Surface reacts with oxygen and water → forms orange-brown rust.

2. Protective Layer Formation:
