Wear plates manufactured by welding one or multiple wear resistant layers on a medium or low carbon steel base plate.
The overlay alloy has a high amount of chromium carbide hard particles which makes the plate have good wear and impact resistance.
Teda Metal chromium carbide cladded steel plate offers superior strength and corrosion resistance. This bimetallic product starts with a mild steel base plate that is then fused by welding with a chrome carbide steel. Up to 32% chrome (chromium) and up to 5.8% carbon, chromium carbide metallurgically bonds to the steel’s surface to form a protective and durable surface that will not separate from the base metal.
