Mounting Methods for Surfacing Composite Wear-Resistant Plates
Surfacing composite wear-resistant plates are widely used in modern industry. However, their installation and fixing can be challenging. Here are three recommended methods:
1. Bolt Fixing
Bolts can be used to fix the wear-resistant plates in two ways:
- Welding Bolts to Base Metal: Weld the bolt to the steel plate’s base metal, then connect it to other workpieces.
- Drilling Holes: Drill holes in the wear-resistant plate and connect it to other workpieces using bolts.
2. Welding
For large-area composite steel plates:
- Welding Base Material: First, weld the back base material together.
- Filling Front Surfacing Layer: Use a corresponding surfacing electrode to fill in the front surfacing layer.
- Welding to Other Structures: Wear-resistant steel plates can also be welded directly to other steel structures.
3. Plug Welding
- Opening Holes: Use plasma or carbon arc gouging to create holes in the wear-resistant plate.
- Connecting Structural Parts: Use the plug welding method to connect the plate to other steel structural parts.
These methods ensure secure installation and effective use of surfacing composite wear-resistant plates.
